Same project..

Sorry, I've been away for awhile.

Keeping head down as Rocky would say.

I've made it pretty far on my "Workflow Definition" documents..
Just wondering.. if any one has done this before, how do you handle creating new documents in the workflow.

Like, if approved, create a response document. Then that must go through workflow.. then when done, refresh original document, and workflow continue on the original document.

I think I have the create document handled. Then I have another workflow definition document for that type of document...Then when complete.. needs to update original so that workflow can continue..

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated..

When you say "Workflow Definition" document, I am assuming these are the set of documents that define your workflow within the database. If that is the case, then what I would do would probably have a definition for the parent document that is something like "Approved But Waiting". This would allow the users to know that the parent has been approved, but the child is still in the process.

If I am off track with this thinking, let me know. Workflow can be so different for different people, it's hard to always understand what they are trying to do.
